Types of Facilitator Trainings

Basic Training

This Training offers the basic elements of putting on a Symposium so that the participants can immediately go out and bring Symposiums into existence in their communities. The Basic Training is followed by a period of informally learning additional practical information and skills under the guidance of a mentor who is a trained facilitator, or with a team of people in a local community group.

Deepening Training

For those who want a deeper grounding in the spirit of the Symposium and in what leadership roles they may play in the Awakening the Dreamer Initiative, they are invited to attend (after their Basic Training) a “Deepening Training.” This training is offered in a format that begins on a Friday evening and concludes late Sunday afternoon, with some held in residential retreat centers and others in non-residential locations.
